I am very pale and since summer's around the corner, I was thinking about getting a spray tan. if I got the lightest shade would that be good and I wouldnt look orange? also do you wear your swimsuit and do they spray your face?

I wouldn't do it... Isn't it better to try to get a natural tan???? go and lie down in your garden and use something to get a tan faster...

Were you thinking of getting it professional from a salon, or doing it yourself? I really recommend going to a salon. I used to work at a tanning salon and I would use the lighest shade. Normally they have light medium and dark. The VersaSpa is a no orange guarantee and most tanning salons have it.

Its normally a booth. and they tell you your positions and leave. so I go naked to avoid tan lines.. but before spraying make sure you shave/wax & exfoliate the day before that way you get all the dead skin off your body. because thats where people tend to get splochy. also don't use any lotion after. it could streak your tan. and the machine I was telling you about sprays all the way up and down.

If you have the option I would go to a person to have them do your tan. That way she can make sure they're are no missed spots and everything looks even.

I currently work at a tanning salon as a tanning specialist and custom airbrush tanning consultant. determining what kind of look you are going for is the most important. I always always always recommend the custom airbrush, for many reasons, the main one being that the technician spraying you has more control of the techniques being used, can analyze the curves of your body and give you a more precise custom look. many of my clients request special contouring, and that is something a spray tan machine cannot provide you with, mystic tan/versa spa spray tanning booths spray your entire body up and down, every spray is exactly the same, so really, its more of an all over spray tan with no customization.
also, with airbrushing, the technician has more control of the color and is a lot easier to control and build vs. the spray tanning booths that give you a limited choices, not knowing if the cartridge will give you the results you are anticipating.

The pricing will definitely depend on the salon you go to, each salon varies.
also depending on the solution that is used and the after care of your tan depends on how long it will last.
keep in mind that before you go in, it is recommended that you exfoliate prior to your session/appointment that means, no lotion and no deodorant, lotion/and or deodorant will create a barrier between the solution and your skin not allowing for the solution to properly sit on your skin, so when you shower, it will completely come off in any of the areas that you have lotion on and will leave you with colorless spots.
as for the hair, you can wear a shower cap, but it usually just rinses off without staining your hair.

Brianna: depending on how fair you are, depends on what results you will get, you can get that beautiful tan by using any of the UV booths/beds or spray/airbrush tanning.
