How often do you use hair masks?

I have a horrible problem with dryness in my hair. I use deep conditioners and hair masks pretty much every other day. It feels great for that day, but then it's just dry again. Maybe I'm deep conditioning too much?

No there's no protein in any of my masks. I thought that was the problem so I used a protein pack...and it made it so much worse! I revived it back to it's usual dryness though haha.

I deep condition every time I shower, so 3-4x a week (: I use the L'oreal Power Moisture Mask.

I'm w Jenna w the coating of your hair maybe you need a clarifying shampoo. if you use a protein based deep conditioner you need to follow it w a moisterizing one right after. protein conditioners make your hair stronger but can make it feel dry not moisterized. w the conditioners leave them on for at least 20 min if you can buy a heating cap that can help make it really penatrate the hair shaft

I use moisture mask once a week and a repairing or strengthening mask every other month. repairing & reconstructing masks usually have protein & can dry out your hair if used too much. Always read the ingredient list.
