First of I have to give you a shout out for doing weekly treatments on your hair! Woot Woot! Heat is not bad for your hair if you use a Heat Protectant. And use the right temperature. Would you bake your cookies at 400? Nope, they would burn. So don't do that to your hair either. And Section your hair with clips, work in smaller sections within that section, pulling the iron thru one time more slowly. If you iron it 3-4times quick on a section, is still ironing it 3-4times.

I discussed this with my stylist and for me, sleeping with a very loose bun that is non binding or tugging is the best fit.

No no...I only do this dry. I wash once a week since I don't run oily, plus I use a dry shampoo halfway through. I never sleep with "wet" hair, but I do braid damp hair for waves occasionally and do roller wet sets a few hours before bed. Wrapping up wet hair cab breed bacteria and cause breakage. Damp hair, in my personal experience, is just fine, but loosely unless rolled or wrapped.

*can oops. So essentially most of the week, it is slept with it up dry in a bun..loosely with a silky scrunchy. No tugging or pulling tight for me. Keeps my curls for days. I use my fingers, a pick or a wetbrush when I wake up.

Oh..you may want to do a hair net. I do sometimes when I want to keep my curls tighter. They are called a "snood". Women in the 1940's wore them. Smart ladies. ;)

If you use heat on your hair EVERY DAY then it's going to ruin your hair. I straighten/curl mine two or three times a week, sometimes less sometimes more. If you use a heat protection spray it will help a little but it only helps not stops. Xxx
