Okay I for real do not understand the big hubbub about using bronzer for contouring? I think as long as it's matte and darker it's fine. I've used both and having really noticed a significant difference, if a difference at all. Can anyone tell me why not to use a bronzer for contouring?..
: )

Bronzer more warm toned and contours are more cool grey toned. If you think about it shadows are dark cool grey toned and that's what a contour is suppose to do shadow.

Careful this thread might get attacked ;) but honestly it's fine if your bronzer is neutral instead of warm toned. The problem is since a bronzers goal is to warm up the face it contradicts the point of contouring completely. If you like the look it gives you though and don't want an extreme legitimate contour go for it. There's no rules in makeup, only guidelines!

I agree a bronzer should not be used for contouring, but Too Faced Chocolate Soleil is a bronzer and its dark enough to be a contour on my skintone. It really depends on the product.

Cami is spot on, that's the only "bronzer" I use as a contour. It's very neutral, so it looks like shadows. :)
