I used baking soda and it worked but without lemon. But apparently it's bad so you probably shouldn't 😂😁

I knew lemon was bad but not the baking soda. But I haven't done it in a really long time anyway but thanks for the info :) even though this isn't my post lol.

I would try using a cleanser & moisterizer containing salicylic acid. It will help to dissolve the excess sebum (oil) in your pores. Neutrogena has some good ones.

I used just baking soda and water all over my face thinking it would clear it up a bit about a week ago and my face got EXTREMELY dry :/ it peeled and I couldn't even wear makeup or anything. It's still really dry just not peeling anymore. I don't know if it would necessarily happen to you but just a heads up on what could happen.

Hi Sonja, just as a reminder, threads like this would belong in the "Skincare" section, not the "Beauty" section. I'll move it for you this time, but please remember that for future reference, as miscategorized threads are subject to deletion.
on another note, I prefer the Bioré pore strips, I find them to work well, though they're not the gentlest on your skin. definitely don't use them more than once a week. despite that, they definitely get all the gunk out.

I use lemon juice. It is a natural antibacterial and can be helpful for many people. You should always do a test patch with anything. Also how often you do something and how long you leave something on for are key to avoiding irritation in many instances. Everyone is different.

@Sandra totally not related but I seen in reviews you liked the fit me concealer... I've never used concealer so I was thinking about trying it. Would you recommend it??

Big NO! I've tried this not thinking about how it would feel only having the idea of "removing blackheads". Anyways this this burned my skin. Not exactly burn but my nose was stinging so bad my eyes got watery. I wouldn't do it again.
