My hair is naturally dark brown and I have it dyed bluish-black (with a few pieces of deep red mixed it). My stylist always does a great job & I LOVE my color. I try to wait about a week after having it colored before I shampoo (to let the color really 'set'). I've noticed most of the 'color-safe' shampoos at the salon while they don't contain sulfates, they still contain alcohols (and sometimes chlorides) which both definitely fade color. Are there any other shampoos on the market that don't contain any of these dulling ingredients (and get my hair actually clean wo fading)?
p.s. - I am not outdoorsy, so the sun really does not fade my hair. I work in a studio most hours of the day. I can get away with shampooing just about twice a week. I use lukewarm water and towel-dry. I do not use any other hair or styling products. (My hair is naturally oily so I don't need conditioner.)

I have the same problem with my hair, till yesterday. One of these pretty ladies recommended that I add a little of the dye into my conditioner..works like a charm💋

Look into Ion, brand available at Sally's - they have many options dedicated to colored hair.
Neuma is another excellent color-safe option. Those brands have worked great for preserving my color which usually fades/dulls rather quickly.
I realize everyone's hair is very different, esp. when colored...good luck finding your HG color products.

If you have a cosmetology license, I would recommend Tressa watercolors color maintenance shampoo.
