Saturday is my brother's wedding and I would like to know what would you recommend for my face to be perfect.
I have combinated skin and not propense to acne, but since last week I have some red spots on my forehead, and my cheeks. I have a Murad Clarifying Cleanser sample from Sephora, and I would like to know if it works and if isn't aggressive for my skin type.
I would like to know if in two days I might see a difference. Someone told me that toothpaste works for dissapear red spots very quick, but I would like to know if I should try this or try the Murad Cleanser. What do you think??

What is your other facial cleanser? Murad is very gentle. I can't say that it will help in just two days though.

Hi, Leslie!
First of all, back away fro. the toothpaste! That remedy is a major no-no for skin! The ingredients in toothpaste are great for cleaning your teeth, but can be extremely irritating when used on your skin. Chances are that it will make the problem worse, not better.
Unfortunately, I do not have any particular experience with the Murad brand, but I can tell you that good ol' benzoyl peroxide is still the gold-standard for clearing a breakout as quickly as possible. That and salicylic acid are the two most common active ingredients in acne treatments, and with good reason: they work.
That said, there are some people who tend to be sensitive to both ingredients. With your brother's wedding so close, I would advise you to either use an acne spot treatment with benzoyl peroxide--these are widely available in both name brand and generic forms at your local drugstore--or stick to treatments that you've used in the past and you know for sure won't make the problem worse.
Just, please, in the name of all that is cute and fluffy, don't reach for the toothpaste!

Neutrogena has a heal and conceal acne spot treatment and there is also one called "Clean and Clear" which is a gel. The gel is highly effective and so I'd use sparingly.
My favorite spot remover that works insanely fast is by Bare Minerals. It is a powder that helps cut redness while drying out the spot...crazy quick! I apply it a few times a day and my spot is usually gone within 2 days. Then, I exfoliate and moisturize the area with a natural oil. It's called "Blemish Therapy". It's perfect for stopping them in their tracks as well. If you have dry skin, apply morning and night only. I have incredibly sensitive skin (can't use Clean and Clear because it stings) but this works so well on my skin. I cannot say enough about it.
