...IM GOING BROKE! LOL

I started wearing makeup when I got a more professional office job last August. I have uneven skin and acne scars (although my profile pic does not show it for some reason. It looks like I have on makeup but I don't) so I decided to wear foundation to even it out. JUST foundation. Then I came across Beautylish...and now I am wearing damn near everything except eyeshadow! I have learned so much about makeup and techniques..it's addicting! Because of this site, I go to Ulta damn near every two weeks because you guys talk about another great product I wanna try!! And it doesn't help that there is an Ulta across the street from my job! My pockets can't take anymore. Lol

But you ladies are all stunning and I have so much respect and love for you all. You guys have given me confidence and revealed a beautiful side of me I never knew I had and I thank you all very much.

Now, since we are on the topic of going broke and addiction...does anyone know of a liquid MAC foundation dupe that will give me a satin finish? I wanna try a new look (I mainly wear matte) and although I love the way it looks, MAC breaks me out.

LOL thanks ladies!!

So true! I've been on here a year, and back then I only had enough makeup to fill a small makeup bag. Now my bathroom vanity drawers are overflowing, and my Mason jars to keep my brushes, mascara, lip glosses and eyeliners are stuffed full! I knew nothing of makeup back then, I couldn't even do something as simple as blended, gradient eye shadow. This site has taught me so much and has opened my eyes to new products and brands! I couldn't live without BL :)

What type of coverage do you like in your foundation? I just got Chanel Vitalumiere Aqua, and it has the most beautiful satin finish, but doesn't emphasize my dry patches! If you like full coverage though, it's definitely not for you. It's pretty sheer, but surprisingly buildable. It is pricey (I nearly keeled over when I was swiping my card >.<) but totally worth every penny. My boyfriend even mentioned that my foundation was looking extra good today, and that's when you know a product is good!

Have you tried revlon color stay? The one for combo/oily sets more matte but the one for normal skin has more a demi-matte/satin finish and both are full coverage like MAC studio fix. Armani Luminous silk, Dior Forever and Lancôme Teint Idol ultra are great as well.

SAME HERE! I can't leave a drug store without hitting up the cos section, and I've been making weekly trips to sephora. all the girls know me there now. thankfully, I work at a jcp, so I get my discount and can win gift cards for the sephoras inside jcps. on my last trip, I bought $100 worth of product, but only spent $11 out of pocket!!

I should have stated what I use. Sorry!

I am currently using Revlon Colorstay for oily/combo skin. As far as coverage, somewhere between light and full coverage. I like a more natural look but I don't mind the fact that you can tell I have makeup on..if that makes sebse
