Someone posted on my profile wanting to know my experience with Accutane but my computer is broken and I don't know how to reply on my phone so I figured I would make a post. My skin was really bad before I started Accutane and I tried everything first because I knew it was a harsh medicine and I wanted it to be a last resort but I regret that's because I got a ton of scars that I could have avoided if I would have started taking it sooner, after I started taking it I noticed results very soon after. I have very few complaints about Accutane, first it made my skin very sensitive to sunlight so I burned very very quickly but that is easily fixed with sunscreen so that's not too bad. Second, I hate being on birth control cuz it makes my mood swings and hormones go all crazy and turns me into a really grouchy person but you have to be on birth control to be on Accutane, so that's more of a complaint about birth control not Accutane but thought I would include it. Dry skin is really common so just find a really good moisturizer with no perfumes in it, my skin was a little sensitive while being on it and also just find a good Chapstick and you will be fine. I used aquaphor as a Chapstick and I don't remember what lotion I used but there are a ton out there that work, they also say wait to get tattoos and piercings for 4 years after you stop using it because your skin scars a lot easier, and I noticed that was true cuz if I skinned my knee or something it did scar really easily when normally it wouldn't have but I honestly don't kind scars, I never waited to get piercings or tattoos but my tattoos are a little textured, and by that I mean when you touch them you can feel the outline cuz it did raise my skin, and my doctor did warm me about it but I decided to take the risk, it doesn't bother me tho, I like the way my tattoos feel. If you have any more questions feel free to ask =)

Great thread! It's also good to get both positive and negative feedback. Very informative. :)
