Try a green based primer, I don't know if it is primer but I know they have green liquids just for the red spot problems. I've seen this stuff at sephora and drug store.

Moisturize again and again and again!! I use Cetaphil for gentle skin - multiple times a day (at least twice.) And coconut oil a couple times a week, or whenever you really need it. It really softens the redness, it is very anti-inflammatory. It feels so slimy, but it absorbs. Don't get freaked out by the feel at first. Just so it before bed and it will be all absorbed by morning.

ALSO, over washing is a major redness factor. Resist the urge! Wash once or twice a day- max. And using a gentle cleanser really helps me. I LOVE epionce, but it is pricey. Cetaphil gentle wash is a (step-down) price saving swap.
