Does anyone know any ways to help wash out keratin straightening treatment? I used the treatment about 4 months ago and I want my curly hair back. At the moment it is curly in parts and straight in others and it looks a mess!! I'm trying to avoid straightening or curling to help repair my hair but Its difficult when it looks so bad unstyled.

I believe it will have to grow out in order for your hair to go back to being curly. Having that done permanently changes the texture and curl in your hair. My stylist warned me before I did it the first time (she was the owner of the salon).Your stylist should have too. About 3 years ago I had really curly hair that was very frizzy. So I did the Brazilian Blowout. I love, love, loved it! Had it done 3 times. I haven't been able to have it done in over a year and I still have no curls. Its just straight and frizzy with minor waves. Totally removed my curls. I now have to either use a straightener or a curling iron to get decent hair. :(

Typically keratin smoothing treatment will "chip" off the hair. They can last up to 6 months. In my experience as a stylist, they do not change the texture permanently. Try using a shampoo that has sulfates in it to help remove some of the keratin, any cheap shampoo will do. It is possible that the treatment was not done properly and damaged your hair, which will not allow the hair to be as it once was.
