I have naturally curly hair, and the curls are really defined and cute when I come right out of the shower, but I noticed that when the curls start to lose their shape and, my hair just becomes frizzy. I also don't want to wash my hair too much because that'll get rid of natural oils and dry out my hair more. Are there any good or recommended products I can put in my hair while it's dry to enhance and create defined curls in my already curly hair?

Have you tried any leave in conditioners or oils?

Moroccan oil will maintain your hair's healthy shine, help keep it from getting dry, and keep it from frizzing too much. Try not to touch your hair too much because that will cause your curls to fall/frizz. Maybe try some light hairspray or gel (for the wet look) to help maintain your curls. Hope this helps!(:

Back in the day...a very long time ago I had a curly perm. Which I liked by the way. And what I did to keep the curly shape frizz free was to apply product on just washed (damp) hair. I would use a cocktail of hair gel & leave in conditioner. The gel will help hold the curl & the conditioner will keep the curls soft and not hard & crunchy. I would use a 50-50 ratio. But I'm sure nowadays there are a lot of products that will do this. The trick is to put it on when your hair is wet/damp, don't wait for it to dry & then fall before you put something in it.

Thanks for the advice! I usually try to put some gel or oils like Argan oil in my hair while it's wet, and it kind of does the trick, I just want to know how to keep it defined I guess?

Even though my hair is not curly anymore (its naturally wavy) I still struggle with frizz and like to use products for curly hair because curly hair is usually drier than most. And I have really dry hair. I can literally not wash my hair for a month and won't never gets greasy and I add hair oil to my hair every other day! There is a company called Ouidad & they specialize in curly hair only. They sell it at Sephora. I only have one of their products. I'm not saying THIS specific product is what you're looking for, just showing you what the packaging looks like.

Organic shampoos will help. trader Joe sells one for four dollars but there are other alternatives. Curldivas also have good products and books (checked it out at the library).

I use cantu leave in conditioning hair cream & a light hold Aussie hairspray. It works PERFECT for curly hair. It's best if you apply when your hair is wet and blow dry it after you put in the product. Or just let it air dry. It holds the curl and doesn't leave that wet look or make your hair crunchy. :) I have super curly hair and I've tried just about everything. These products are the ONLY thing that works for me.

When you get out of the shower put some sort of oil in it. (I recommend Moroccan). Then put gel from your ears down, and after go over each curl that lost it's shape, correcting it. After it dries put hairspray and a little more oil to take frizz:)

There are some parts of my hair that do that as well! I usually twist the curl around my finger or do a two strand twist with it.
