Don't wash it everyday. Get it deep conditioned every once in a while, sometimes when people think they have split end they just have dry tips. Try not to heat very often. When shampooing rub your scalp deeply as if massaging it. These things will help it grow faster and calm down a bit. Also for more shiny hair wash your hair in cold water.

Your hair growth rate and texture (thin/thick) is genetic, but keeping it healthy helps it to grow.
- Hair masks and deep conditioner will keep it healthy, try to use oils such as argan oil. Cut ant split ends off, otherwise it'll split up the hair shaft and cause breakage.
- Do NOT use Mane and Tail or Biotin. Mane and Tail is NOT pH balanced for hair, therefore drying it out. The waxes weigh your hair down, which makes people believe their hair is longer, which it isn't.
Biotin should not be taken unless you have Biotin deficiency, which only can be doctor diagnosed. Biotin supplements which aren't needed can cause acne, sickness and hospilitisation. Biotin rich foods include chickens eggs and cucumber.
- Use as little heat as you can. Heat will dry your hair out massively. Also use less products. If you have to use heat, use a heat protector spray.

- Cutting your hair when it hasn't got split ends is pointless as it won't make it grow faster.
Putting your hair in a loose bun/braid/wrap at night is better than a ponytail as it doesn't pull as much on the hair shaft. Use a silk pillow to minimise pulling.
Do not brush your hair when wet as this contributes to breakage.
Shampoos and conditioners which say they make your hair grow faster or 'heal' split ends are a total con.
