I don't have dandruff (yet) butt my scalp had been extremely itchy and dry. I've checked for lice and used moisturizing/dandruff shampoo. Does anyone know some products or home remedies I could use ti get rid of this??

Just start making sure you get ALL of your shampoo out of your hair when you wash it!

Hmm, do you use conditioner? Maybe it needs more moisture?

You should use products with olive or argan oil that don't have oil or wax. both are naturally moisturizing.

It could be that you have an allergy to the detergent agent in your shampoo. If you have ruled that out the maybe your not rising all the shampoo out. Remember to only shampoo the scalp & condition midshaft to ends. Conditioner on the scalp causes itchy scalp as well because it causes build up. Try a nice tea tree shampoo like Paul Mitchell tea tree special shampoo or opt for an organic shampoo. Tea tree oil has anti fungal & antibacterial properties & will soothe an itchy scalp :)

My mom gets this way too sometimes. Usually with higher end products no less. It could be the detergent in the shampoo that you're allergic to. Buy some shampoo that says sensitive scalp and avoid hairspray and product until it stops. That usually helps her.

Itch can also mean you need to exfoliate any dead skin on your scalp. Try sugar scrubbing your scalp then shampoo and condition

You can try putting some apple cider vinegar into a spray bottle and spraying it in your hair and let it sit for about ten minutes and wash tour hair like usual.
