I was wondering does proactive really work? I really want to know before I spend my money on it.

It's way too harsh on anybody's skin, I don't recommend it. It made my face sooo dry and tight I couldn't even smile comfortably lol
If I wet you I'd go to your dermatologist and start on antibiotics, it's and everyday pull that fights against infection. They also give you a night cream that works wonders, it's meant to make your skin generate skin cells faster therefore your pimples come and go faster and eventually you won't have any. It took me 2 weeks to see results :)

My step daughter used it for a while, unfortunately it seemed to only make her skin worse.

I'm going to go out on a whim here and say, yes. It worked verrryyy well for me. Most people will tend to break out once they try and use a new product. Their skin just isn't used to that product yet, so then they stop using it and bash it once they see it gave them a blemish. What I did was as soon as I broke out, I just kept using it,- it claims to get rid of spots/acne right? So after about a few days my skin cleared up. It works very well for me. You just need to give it a chance! 😊
