Originally I was going to dye My hair black (which is my natural hair color)
But I'm having second thoughts.. Should I do dark brown? Or any other suggestions? I plan on getting my hair cut like the picture

That would be a cool idea! I love purple. My roots are really bad and it's black on the very top of my head and light brown on the rest. You can see it well from this pic
