Your thoughts on bareminerals.

Hey guys! I'm in need of a good foundation, & my derm actually recommended bareminerals for my skin type. I have acne prone oily skin, can you give me your thoughts on bareminerals foundations, are they worth the hype? The coverage, & possibly some good concealers, and also if the brushes really are necessary & do help with blending it on & getting a good amount of coverage. I'm looking for medium to full coverage to cover some bad acne scars, what do you think?

I liked it and it didn't break me out (but I know a lot have this issue...) but the colors were wrong for me and it didn't offer the right amount of coverage for me either. I really love Merle Normans Mineral Powder (the only con is you have to go to a store to buy), Philosophy, or Tarte has a good powder too. But I do still use concealer (and of course primer under that) to help with my dark circles or occasional blemish.

The only product I have ever tried from bare minerals was the original powder. I really liked it and had no problems with it breaking me out (:

I like their blushes and lipgloss however I'm not a huge fan of their eyeshadows and foundations. I find them to be too cakey for me.

Hi! I bought bare minerals to try a few years ago, and found it very aging, and I broke out. It will settle into every line you never knew you had, and many makeup artists simply hate it for that reason. However, it does have it's uses, it's very good on men, I especially love how easy it is to buff into and around beards and stubble. It's also great for a day of golf, if I want a little coverage that won't sweat off. I just keep it away from around my eyes and use a regular concealer, and wearing it only one day-I usually don't break out. I would suggest Make Up For Ever Matte Velvet, it's excellent for oily skin and looks great without breaking you out. If you want less coverage, I also really like Urban Decay Naked Skin and their BB cream is ultra light coverage, but smells, feels and wears beautifully. Hope that helps!💗

LOVE LOVE LOVE. My skin is 10x better tham before and it leaves a really natural finish, but still evens out your complexion. I would definitely recommend and the products last so it kinda counteracts the cost as they're slightly more expensive than your average products. Hope this helped! x
