Where abouts do you live? Here in central Canada, (where the winters are meaaaan) we definitely wear sorels (they have a new line of sorels that are both practical but also trendy). Uggs are so nice and warm, but the traction is CRAP.

Though they do have uggs that are more 'bootlike' with proper grip on the bottom. It all depends on your need. If you're in mostly wet winter place, definitely don't get uggs, they will get ruined. If you're in a place that doesn't snow, but just gets cold, you can get away with more trendy winter boots. I tend to loooooove boots by frye.

Yeah I'm from montreal I agree with sorels and timberlands too. Uggs are cute and I do wear them but as s v said there is like zero grip so I have to skate on ice hahah.

Look online at Ugg. Because they have rtons of other boots that are made for the snow besides their classic sheepskin ugg boot.

Omg Ontario! Girl, you have to get yourself some sorels! Sooo worth it. I feel super confident walking on ice in mine. When I lived in mtl, they helped a lot since the sidewalks are almost never salted. Here in Saskatchewan, it's the same deal.

Really? Mine kept me warm in the - 55 last winter. Wool socks make all the different though.

I forgot my sister had the actual sorel-like uggs and they're great but really pricy.

I still opt for uggs, I personally don't LOVE the look but they're definitely cuter than most snow boots in my opinion. I saw a new style that was knit with a buckle and I neeeeed them 😜

I'm from Saskatchewan so it's very cold and we have tons of snow >.< Everyone I know and including myself absolutely love Sorels. My sister got a pink and black pair last year and she has told me more than once that she is impressed by the warmth and traction.

I'd go with Dr Martens. You can the 1460 Serena style boots which have furry stuff inside of them to keep your feet warm. Plus Docs last forever and are so comfy.
