I gotcha
I will say that no matter the material, you really can't do much if you don't have proper technique

I've tried dupes and the real one. I feel like yes... They might all give the same finish. But to me, the real beauty blender is so much easier and faster to use compared to my dupes. I recently got the sephora dupe and honestly I should have just saved up and spent it on a new one. Its hard and doesn't work as well. I'm still reaching for my old real beauty blender although its falling apart. For me its well worth it... Just as much as buying an expensive foundation brush because thats all I use for my foundation and concealer anymore. I'm with Lili on this one.

I'd also like to note that I've had my old beauty blender for a year now.

Beauty blenders are actually great for oily skin as they pick up more pigment than oil from your foundation. I personally don't think the dupes do it justice BUT classic triangle sponges personally do the exact same thing for less than a dollar

So I shit you not ladies I went today and bought my first beauty blender I don't know wheres the reciept or if my son got it but here's my purchase history so you will see I aint bull, I've been wanting it for a while but akways put it to the side cuz didnt feel like spending 20 on a sponge I'd rather get makeup but after seeing kitty say its the same thing I had to see for my self so decided to wait no more and get it, first things first like alma said the material is completely different as alma and jackie have said, second when the BB is wet it expands like crazy none of my dupes have ever done this, the BB is soft light and bouncy the dupe I have is no where near that when wet is dosent expqnd like crazy it feels heavy and its rough, I have yet to test it out with makeup but so far there no where near each other

@ sandy yes its like comparing apple's and oranges different in everway and just cuz there fruit don't mean there the same lol... Out of the dupes I've tried I can't find one to compare it to, when I wet this I swear I couldnt belive how big it got in my mind then I was like crap I should have gotten the little ones they might get a decent size lol... Thats true alma and jackie have said that this is a tool for those who don't know how to use a brush, its like a makeup for dummies kinda tool (I'm not calling people who have it dummies its a joke ha ha) lol that it makes makeup easy and fast, I will take makeup fast and easy when I'm on the run so I won't have to hear my man telling me 10 times to hurry my butt cheaks up that we are going to be late lmfao.
