I'm considering bleaching the bottom of my hair, would I have to strip the red beforehand or can I just go straight into bleaching? I'm stripping the color at the top to dye it brown. And what toner from sallys or Wal-Mart can I use for red and gold tones? Thanks gals.

Nope, you won't need to strip it before bleaching. I'd wait for my hair to fade a bit before doing so. :)

Sounds like a plan, it's faded into an orangey maroon color, I stopped using my color safe line and I've been using hot water lmao. Thanks shaye :)

I don't understand what you mean by light as possible.. I thought toners worked for all colors with tones of different colors. Usually when I dye my hair blonde, there are gold tones, and then when I dye my hair brown, I get gold and red tones.
