What to ask your hairdresser? Big change!

So I think I'm going to dye my hair next week.. I've been a blonde my whole life, but I wanna go for brown hair or even a dark red/purple color! I never had a change like this and I think it is important that I know how to take care of it.. So what are the most important questions I should ask my hairdresser? I'm going to write them down, so I'm not forgetting any questions, I'm really nervous about the change! :D.

I believe the most important and simple questions you can ask are
What shampoos should I use?
Do I need a hair mask, if so what brand do you recommend?
Basically ask about how to maintain your hair color at its best (:
