Hey! I need really good brushes. I've heard of some like Sigma, Zoeva, Blank Canvas, M.A.C., and there were some others but I want some more suggestions. Or is it better to buy individual brushes instead of set?

It depends on your personal preferences and needs.

Are you looking for brushes that work well with eyeshadow and liquid liner, or do you need more face brushes? Do you prefer natural bristles or synthetic? Do you have any special needs (SFX detailing brushes, for example)? Think of your hands, would a long thin handle be easier to handle or would you do better with a shorter, thicker handle? What is your price range? Do the overall business practices/ethics of the company matter to you?

I will never purchase from Sigma because they have unethical business practices and their brushes are mediocre quality. The value is not worth the price.

M.A.C. brushes are variable in quality. Certain brushes are more popular than others, and are better suited for different needs. Some feel that the price reflects the brand name more than the quality, but you can determine that yourself.

I don't know Zoeva or Blank Canvas, so I can't opine on those.

Other companies worth researching: Royal and Langnickel, bdellium tools, Chikuhodo, Morphe, Hakuhodo... Think about how you use your brushes, how you hold them, and what you want to accomplish with them.

Nobody can tell you what will be best for you, because your needs are not the same as someone else's.

They have issues with customer service, and a recent spat of frivolous legal cases where they've attempted to sue small business retailers for patent infringement over their brush cleaning glove (which is just a groomers mitten). I don't support companies that don't support their customers and that use nonsense legal proceedings to try to force perceived competition out of business.
