I'm not a huge makeup buff, but recently I have been trying to experiment more. I just received the Naked 3 palette for Christmas and I want to make more dramatic looks. Do y'all have any tips on blending eyeshadow? Thanks!

Start with a very light shade of whatever color is going to be darkest in your crease (ex. if you're doing a purple eye then use a light lavender as the 1st crease color and keep going back to that to blend out the harsher darker purples you put on).

Agreed with Melanie.
having the right brushes to blend with will make all the difference. there are brushes out there specifically for blending. also, it's handy to have a beush with no pigment on it to blend. that way it blends out the shadow onstesd of lightly adding more as you go. if that makes sense? lol.
watching videos on YouTube helped me out a lot.

For me I first apply a eyeshadow base. then I use matt nude eyeshadows all over the lid up to my brows, that makes it easier to blend. also use a good blending Brush :)

Having quality tools makes a huge, huge difference. As mentioned above the MAC #217 brush and a great crease brush for crease application...IT Cosmetics/ULTA exclusive has a great starter brush for the crease for $14 bucks.

I agree the tools and the makeup itself make the biggest difference for me - a great primer that allows the colors to pop while you blend - I notice when I use UD shadows the UD primer really enhances the blending of the colors and then really good eye makeup brushes with the correct tips/shapes helps to make it easier to blend as well - when you watch tutorials on YouTube pay attention to the brushes they use and the shape of the tip that has helped me too - now when I wear shadow I'm like a pro at doing the gradient eye - and after you finish placing the color where you want it - take a CLEAN fluffy brush and blend all the colors together softly and that really will bring the whole look together

Agree with Kyraa. I like to have an extra clean blending brush to blend with between steps. Helps to stop harsh lines when you're working with dark colours.
