Does any of you beauties plan on checking these out? I can't get over the prices.
Do you think they're that much different than the original?

I always thought I was the only one who hates real techniques. I agree with jacqlyn, they shed way too much

I agree 110% with Jacqlyn. Its another high-price gimmick.

Exactly! I washed mine after a week and multiple bristles came out, I thought it was a one time thing, but it constantly kept shedding! Never understood the rave about them.

I've actually never used their brushes but I figured for these prices something must be amazing about them lol.

Nikelle you can give them a shot if you want to try them. I personally am not a fan they soak up to much product and fall apart.

Never tried RT, not a fan of the design/colors on the ferrule and that little rubberized bit on the handle. They would just clash w/my collection.

I really like the look of these though, chic and interesting something about the originals says 5 yr. old to me, Idk. Then I saw the prices and was like "Bish Bye", lol.

It's so weird, I wonder if they changed manufacturers, I've had mine for at least two years, I wash them constantly, they haven't lost shape and I can't recall them ever shedding a hair, literally. They do soak up a lot of product, but I don't use them for applying foundation so that doesn't bother me.

Welllllll, call me the black sheep here, but I will most definitely be picking up #100, #300, and #301. I have a few RT brushes and love them to death, I've had the same experience as you, Kelly.

I love black sheep Alli lol its just one of those things that are a hit or miss with people.

It would seem that way, Alma. Who knows, I could end up hating these and then be ranting with you all on the next RT topic lol. :p.

First impression I have the arched powder. and almost their entire line of regular brushes. its softer than any of the other ones I have. lighter handle and skinnier. first day use hasn't shed. works perfectly so far. my other brushes I have do not shed eitger. I prefer these over any other brushes.

Lol Alli, I'm always opened for options but unfortunately these were not for me and I guess if compared to Kevyn Aucoin brushes maybe that could also be why I noticed the difference. However I also have a few drugstore brands that are nice as well.

My favorite brushes hands down are eco tools. They're cheap, the bristles are super soft and they get the job done. Plus they're cute and environmentally friendly!

Oh heck, well that would definitely explain it, Alma! I unfortunately don't have that problem, since the "highest quality" brushes I have are Sigma lol, so if that tells you anything. What drugstore brushes do you like?

*Which, not what...that was really going to bug me. -.-

Thank you all so much for your feedback.
@ Elise... I'm cracking up! I feel the same way about the look of the originals. I thought it was just me.
@ Alexis... I'm with you all the way about Eco Tools.

@ Alma...I'm just a novice when it comes to makeup so I don't have much to compare anything to. especially anything high end...like Kevin Aucoin :(

Hopefully that will all change when I receive my Lucky Bag! :)

thanks beauties!

@Nikelle: Girrrll I got over how cute they was when I saw them prices real quick :D I'm glad I'm not alone on not liking the look of the originals, I felt kinda bad about it since like everyone raves about them.

Thanks for keeping us updated tho! <3

I do like Borghese, Sonia Kashuk, Brandon,Sephora collection, I've bought some from Sally beauty supply called beauty secrets those were actually nice. Now I did see at Walmart that Drew Barrymore had a set of flower brush sets that I'm interested in trying out, the brushes looked so pretty.

@Elisa..lol.. you are too funny. there was never anything that made me want to try them but when I saw this "Ulta exclusive" I thought maybe there's something special... but not for $20 a pop.

@Alma.. I've always wanted to try Sonia Kashuk. I see great reviews about that that line on here

@Nikelle: I'm right there with you, lol.

Idk which SK line Alma is refering too but the SK black handles are good, even some of those had me like damn, $$$ maybe I'm just too cheap, lol. They are good quality so, I would say they were worth it :)

I've never had an issue with any of mine...I've had them all for at least 2 years now and they have not shed a single hair and I don't find them to soak up a lot of product. I adore them honestly lol. I will be checking out some of the bold metal ones but probably just a few because I have quite a bit of the regular line at this point and don't feel like I'm really NEEDING a specific type at this point. I particularly do want to get another powder brush since I just got an Hourglass ambient lighting powder. But I'm really eyeing up the smaller eye brushes with the silver handles.
