Thanks for the warning, I'm sure a lot of people on here can appreciate that lol I always see "omg ew why didn't you warn us"
ANYWAYS. I think it looks killer, I love it. It's especially awesome looking for being made from scratch! I don't know much about SFX at all, so I mean looks cool to the normal eye

Thanks guys ❤️ all your comments are so motivating 😊 @Shannon B for the scarwax I used Vaseline+flour+a bit of foundation. For the blood I used gelatin+food dye+coco powder+water and advice would be greatly appreciated 😊

Oh and to fill in the scar I used different shades of red lipstick and some eyeliner around the edges. To make the redness around the sides I also used lipstick

Wow you did amazingly good! I could never achieve that haha!
my only suggestion, but that's a detail, I would try to make wound less smooth in the middle if that makes sense. the edges are perfect, but you could add more texture inside!

Shannon B.
I agree with Geneviene,
Also I would give the wound more depth.
Also in the area of the cut it would be really bloody too. That's something to take consideration in when creating wounds in different areas

Thanks Genevieve and Shannon! Do you have any idea how to add texture and for the depth should I just use a darker colour? I'll certainly add more blood if I try again :)
Dec 6, 2014
Shannon B.
A darker color will add depth to it making it look like a deeper cut. Just don't add too much of a dark color
Texted would be like having some skin hanging off or something like that. The skin should looked torn but with the materials you used I don't think that would be easy to achieve.
For the materials you used this is a good job.

Oh I see, when you say that the skin should look torn do you mean the edges should be slightly jagged? Thanks 😊

Yes (:
