So I'm off out with people from work for a Christmas meal tomorrow night. I've decided to wear a dress which is red and navy blue and like checkered. I was thinking of wearing some simple gold jewellery. Do you think it would go? Also.

Also what make up? I'm not one for wearing too much make up just something simple :-) Sorry I don't have a picture of the dress! :-(

I think gold jewelry would look good. For makeup something neural with a pink lip (:

Oh darn I'd love to see the dress, but red and blue I think would look nice with either gold or silver. As for makeup, if your not one for being overly done up, I'd just try and keep it simple and within your comfort zone. I'd put on a bb cream and swipe a nice soft goldy nude shadow on your lid with a soft smudge liner and mascara, keep your blush soft and peachy and lippie you could go bold with red or still keep it neutral and soft with a nice soft pinkie peach shimmer. Also, try a bit of highlighter on your collar bones, shoulders (if your shoulders are showing) and your shines... Gives your whole body a nice glow.

I would definitely go for gold makeup. As for makeup, there's a look I do sometimes that I think would be perfect with what you described. I wet my brush and dab gold eyeshadow on my lids. I use a dark navy color on the outer corners and blend it in about halfway with the gold. It always looks great!
