You could pull your hair back in a bun. & you could do some simple eyeshadow. like a soft goldish color smoked out a bit at your crease with a brown :) with just some lipgloss or a nude lip or if you want something bold you could even do a red :)

I like the idea of a plum or burgundy lip with either a black or plum smokey eye. I would recommend tight lining your eyes rather than a wing or cat's eye. Gently sweep a tiny bit of burgundy blush from the apples of your cheeks up to your temples. If you do a dark lip color, keep the eyes a bit understated. Focus on getting one part of your face just right, and that's what people's eyes will be drawn to. It gives you a bit of wiggle room to make a few mistakes on other areas of your face where you aren't quite as confident about how good your makeup looks (although, believe me, you will be the only one who feels self conscious about your mistakes).

Now that I'm looking at Shauna's post, I think you could pull off a winged eyeliner with the dress...just make sure you're absolutely confident about your application skills. When winged or cat's eye eyeliner goes wrong, it has the potential to ruin your entire look for the evening. (I'm not at all skilled at winged/cat's eye liner, so I try to stay away from it. When I mess up at it, my eyes look like a disaster area.) I guess that's the main reason I advocate tight lining - less opportunity for disaster.
