That's pretty much how my hair turns out whenever I curl it. I use a 3/4 inch curling wand, and curl it all in the same direction. If you want it to stay like that, you should use a good hairspray (I have no idea which, I don't think I've ever used hairspray but I'm sure whichever one you like should be fine).

Maybe an inch or half inch curling wand and then brushed it or tousled it

I'm pretty sure she used a curling wand then combed them out with a wide tooth comb, or fingers.

I can do those with big rollers or a flat iron.

Marcelling iron or hot rollers would work too. There are some tutuorials on beachy waves without heat (, spray down with a salt spray and or gel, braid it or twist it and let it dry, frankly I think this is a pain. And the texturizing salt spray are just as hard on hair as curling with a protective product on board) If you look up beachy waves tutorials, nearly every one recommends using some kind of finishing gel on the ends to get that separated, piecy look, and some kind of dry shampoo, texture powder at the crown to get that slightly lifted look.

Checking you tube would be a good idea actually thanks. I prefer using a curler since my hair is curly it would be a pain in the butt to do it without heat haha thanks a lot(:
