I want to invest in a warm jacket and many people say north face jackets are really warm but I've never tried them on, are the worth the price?

I love my knock off brand better to be honest. The only reason they are that expensive is the brand name, not exactly the material. And I hate that some of them don't have hoods, most of your body heat goes out of your head! (Fun fact)
Check out the brand Columbia, Avnlanche..etc.. There's tons

Absolutely not. You're paying for the name. For that money, you could get a nice, brand-less leather jacket. It'll keep you warmer and you can get one with a faux fur lining that'll provide extra warmth.

I think The North Face makes high quality products but for the price I think Columbia is better. Pretty much everything can be layered and you stay warm without being so bulky you can barely move lol:)

I absolutely think they are worth the money. I'm going on year 5 with just my simple jacket & it's still in great shape. I paid around 170 I believe. For 5 years & still going? Hell ya I'll pay that.

If you have a Burlington Coat Factory near you or a Tjmax or Marshalls, you can find one of those higher quality coats there for a lot less.

Always worth it! I've had mine forever, & they're classic and never go out of style.

Worth it! I have 2 northfaces, (one has a hood) and I have a columbia, I feel like my northfaces are warmer.

Traci's right. I got my North Face jacket at Burlington coat factory. Also got a CK infinity scarf there a few days ago for $7!

I got my north face last year and paid close to 600$ for it...I'm no warmer than any other coat I own lol.

I'm from the coldest city in America. I never understood the hype of North face until I owned one. I had previously had columbia and they are not even close to north face! I live in weather that is below 0 more often than it is above and I wouldn't want to without my north face.
