Here is my swatch for it with (Left ) and without a primer (Right );
The colors are described as follows..
VENUS: The color of bruised fruit (velvet matte)
SHELL: Opalescent shell-pink (glow)
AURA: Golden ivory (glow)
CREATION: Rust brown (matte)
ICON: Dirt brown (matte)
REBIRTH: The color of an over-ripe nectarine (matte)
DIVINE: Dusty stone (matte)
MUSE: Deep burgundy red (matte)
My review:
Quality (3/5):
These shadows are a bit messy! I was so surprised that for the price point that they were a bit chalky. This palette definitely isn't for someone who has trouble blending especially considering the color scheme ( Which can easily make you look like a zombie ). While the colors are beautiful my BH palette isn't as chalky. Be aware of shadow fall out. If the shadows were more buttery and blendable, Aura would make a good high light color but for my dry skin I feel that it will accentuate dry spots.
Pigmentation:
Soo if you watch Doe Deere's Video, I can almost guarantee 100% that she is using her eyeshadow brightener or her primer underneath. In order to get the colors to show up without an eye primer it took me at least 3 firm swipes (it the pan firmly, swipe firmly, repeat.)
I got them to show up fairly easy with my primer. While this isn't an issue as I always use primer, just letting those that don't use one know.
Reds:
Okay so, if you have a job or career where all eyes are on you, and you don't like to wear make up to work, be prepared to be asked if you have a red eye. These shadows stain the lids.
I repeat my make up removal several times using my oil of choice, and wash my eyes 2-3 times.
Packaging: Super cute! I really love the packaging and the colors on it. It's actually quite big for the packaging and the squares are about medium sized for a palette. I feel like the pricing has more to do with the packaging than it does with the eye shadow quality. The packaging is cardboard, but it is think and does not feel flimsy at all.
Overall:
I like this palette, but I do wish the price was a bit lower since LimeCrime isn't exactly a name brand nor does it have any good words. ( There is this huge LC Scandal thats quite popular but however it's all hearsay, and I cannot go by pure hearsay or emails that claim to be from her considering how easy it is to create these things. Fair is fair.)

The colors look gorgeous! How much was it?

The palette overall is $42.00 ( Not including taxes and shipping. )
For what I believe it's worth... $50.00 is supposed to give you free shipping - and you are so close to $50.00 in total that my word of advice is, if you can afford it, get something else along with it so it feels worth it. ( I'm really good at spending money LMAO. )
And Yw ladies.. I haven't been able to find honest reviews on it so I figured I'd post it.

The palette is beautiful! I love how descriptive you were with the colors and the review itself! It's incredibly detailed and greatly appreciated! What primer did you use with the left hand swatches?

Thank you! I used Tarte's 24 hour waterproof eye primer. It's great for making colors pop out even more.

Thank you for this review! I was planning on getting this palette but I may just hold out. I've also been considering trying LM's eyeshadow primer, have you tried it kitty?

I looove the packaging, that is so gorgeous and different but I think I'll hold out on this one. Can't be having red stained eyelids.

@Sonya
I have not tried out any other LimeCrime products other than this palette and her velvetines. I know Jackie has used the primer so you can ask her or making a thread asking about it would be a good idea!
@Lauren
Telll me about it! I have make up removal OCD

Hi Kitty,
Do you have any MakeupGeek eyeshadow? I think maybe Bitten, from MakeupGeek, could be a dupe for Muse. If I could confirm this for sure I would not take the Venus Palette.
