First off, I know losing hair is normal. I know it happens to everybody. But I also know the amount I'm losing a day does not seem healthy or normal AT ALL. I can run my hand through my hair and have a fistful. And strands are all over my clothes, on the floor, even at school they happen to be on other people and you know it's mine cause it's bright red. I'll brush through it gently and it will cover my entire brush. The amount people lose in a day is the amount I could casually get by trying to put my hair into a ponytail.
I had this problem before I started dying my hair, just not as severe. My hair seems really healthy though, I take good care of it. I don't have to bleach my hair so I'm not sure if dying is actually the cause because I only dye it once every 5 months.
I did have a lot of thick hair. It grows quickly but I have found it to be extremely thinner than a year before. Other people have noticed too so I'm not just going crazy.
*I did go to the doctors. My normal doctor. And as I began to tell her she immediately told me it's normal without even letting me finish. And then I had to leave. Since then the problem has gotten worse. I am only 14 and I already feel as though I'm going to be bald in a couple of years. Please help :(

Talk to your parents and ask if you can go to the hospital or find a new doctor for hair loss.

Go back to the doctor! Say since you saw him/her its gotten progressively worse, I hate doctors who act like nothing is wrong..

I'd see an Endocrinologist and have a blood panel and thyroid test done.

Agree with seeing a doctor and maybe giving your hair a rest, no heat or harmful shampoos, conditioners, or dyes.

Your doctor was too hasty
This could be a sign of a health issue
Get a new one and report the old one I'm serious
That's a responsibility and they could be hurting others too
