So, I've used splat before to do a pink ombré, but it faded pretty fast. So would manic panic be better?? I'm looking to do purple ombré next, but I'm a swimmer so most days I swim twice...

Honestly since you're in the water so much, any hair color is bound to fade within at least a week

Agree with Renay. but the upside with manic panic is it won't cause any damage to your hair so you can keep re dying it as needed.

Splat faded for you? I dyed the underside of my hair purple two summers ago with it and it still won't fully come out?? so weird.

I was a swimmer too, I went to the pool 3 times a week for 4 hours each time, manic panic worked the best for me when I colored my hair! I'd say leave it in overnight (put on a plastic cap and a towel) then in the morning rinse it out and it should stay for a while :)
