I'm om Pinterest everyday and see these cool ideas but when I come on here Its wrong , or not safe. Besides the fashion , DIY stuff , and the all of that is it a good app to recieve beauty tips?
Also I read that Cayenne Pepper is good for your hair (On Pinterest). It said it leaves a tingling sensation and gives it amazing hair growth *IF you want your hair longer*. Also it says it increase the blood flow to the scalp , which is what you need for It to grow...Is this GOOD or BAD?
Is pinterest good too seek Advice for body , face , and hair? Or NO?
Thank you :)

It's hit or miss with some things. I would say the good outweighs the bad though!

Since it is an internet app, people can post anything on it whether we think its wrong or right. so just as you wouldnt trust Wikipedia for all your information I wouldnt trust pinterest until you research the information the user posted. All in all its a great app that really does entertain but you just have to know what to take seriously and what not to.

Well I don't know about beauty tips but other than that Pinterest is awesome. I would post a beauty tip on Beautylish to see if anyone knows about it. And about the cayenne pepper thing... don't try that. My friend literally said her hair wouldn't stop itching and it got kinda red and she said it stung but her hair is kinda fragile so I don't know.

-Gabby I looooove the app/site myself. I'm on it , like all day.
-Mikayla true I just don't know which though since I still consider myself being new to this
-Aya that is true too. I will keep in mind to search some of it up. What I mostly see on there is like Lemom for the face , and adding it to your beauty supply.
-Natalya ouch...I am going to do a little test. And of course , look it up for more information. I don't wanna damage anything.

I LOATHE PINTEREST. As an artist (not even a makeup artist), I constantly have my work shared without credit, without my consent and against the works' legal use licenses. I fight constantly to have my images removed from that infernal den of ignorant thieves.
Intellectual property theft aside, I see so much bad, useless, or downright dangerous advice posted there that I want NOTHING to do with it. It's a Pandora's box of Fail.

Honestly, I don't know if cayenne is the best to put in your hair. I assume it's a spicier pepper which may contain acid's. Now I'm not 100% but I would not personally use it. And I love Pinterest too but some remedies are questionable.

Emily- I admit they do show pictures and put it on there as THERES but it isnt all that bad. There's good info on there as well.
-Meagan that is what I was thinking. I just want to try it. I mean you never know it might causw a huge growth. Everyone is different. lol I still wanna look more into it I don't wanna turn bald.

Exactly what Emily said. I don't even bother on it anymore since I'm going "oh my god are people really recommending this?" 99% of the time. It's mostly false information on any category, especially beauty. Haven't you seen "man vs pin" and "does this pin really work" and all those YouTube videos about how almost all Pinterest shit is false.
And nobody ever gives credit. I've had photos of my hair taken from my tumblr and put on there with no credit or mention of who I am. It's really irritating. Especially when photos of my colored hair are listed with "hair mask using x, y and z can heal split ends and heal all damage" and have it be things that you shouldn't put on your hair. Like one recommended pink shaving cream and vanilla pudding could give blondes pink hair "naturally". Like it's mostly bs and people trolling.

Cayenne pepper makes your scalp tingle because it's IRRITATING your skin
It's not going to make your hair grow nothing will it all depends on your health and maintenance
I only go on Pinterest for crochet patterns other than that you get really ignorant info like that pepper thing
Sep 8, 2014
Ciciii C.
True. Lol you should of seen it. it actually SAID the pepper irritate your scalp into tricking It or doing something making the blood flow to your head. But once again...who knows its probably DUMB but true.

Pinterest you do have to be carful with. Not everything is bad though. I have found so many things on there that have helped me. I also love the recipes on there :)

If it's so important to make blood flow to your hair, just massage it, brush it, etc. Any kind of movement with your scalp will stimulate flow.
I have to say just by reading what is found on pinterest I laughed for about 10 minutes. It passed ridiculous and Wikipedia is starting to appear more realiable.

Stealing photos/posting them without permission is actually a big deal for people who rely on seeking artwork to make money.
Posting my images without credit steaks traffic from my site and detours potential customers, causing me to lose sales on prints. Additionally, I have seen my work being offered for sale on other sites, then pinned on that damned site and passed around as advertising. I have played hell trying to get these thieves to remove my work. For makeup artists it is just as damaging. Having portfolio work taken without credit removed potential clients, and stolen work being falsely represented as one's own can cause a lot of problems for the correct owner. If someone books a makeup artist whose portfolio is stolen images, they are at risk of being scammed or having subpar work or even improper sanitation because the "artist" is a criminal. The real artist can have their reputation damaged by word of mouth because people hear that the image was associated with the scammer and then refuse to patronise the real artist.
It might not seem like a big deal to a layperson, but for an artist who relies on a portfolio for a living (makeup or otherwise) it is extremely damaging.

I'm not a fan of the site. Some the advice posted is just downright dangerous. And when they start suggesting seasonings to stimulate hair growth and lighten skin I'm done.
