It was hard to get out of my hair even with eggs.. which was a struggle in itself because the eggs just want to slide right off your hair! & both times ended up splattered in the shower floor. -.-
So despite the eggs and shampooing until my fingers were pruned.. There's still coconut oil in my hair.
So I get to work tomorrow looking like I haven't showered in a year because I know once this dries it will appear oily.
However... My hair is shiny & once I get all of the oil out I'm sure my hair will be healthier looking & I know it needed this because my hair tends to remain dry due to where I live.

Make sure not to use too much next time, because it shouldn't be that hard to wash it out.

May I ask why you tried to use eggs to get it out? I've never heard of doing that.

You used a bit much that's why it was super hard to wash out and stayed in your hair! Awesome though, hope the results are well worth it when you get it all put

& the coconut oil didn't want to spread so I had to put a ton.
Maybe it was the type I used?

I think it was so hard to get out because it has petroleum in it. I had a product like that one. Check the ingredients if so that's bad for your hair

That's not real coconut oil. It's coconut scented petroleum jelly, which is probably why you had so much trouble. That's meant to act more so as a grease then anything else.

Try to use a little but of dish soap. I know some people who have really oily hair use it and it's worked for them. Maybe use it to wash your hair once just to get all the residue out.

You want to use actual coconut oil. The only ingredients on the back should be coconut oil. Also a little goes a long way. If it takes more then a few washes to get out you have used way to much.

Yeah, you should use real coconut oil instead of that. I use the spectrum brand of coconut oil. you can find coconut oil in the organic type section of hyvee. the spectrum coconut oil is also at Wal-Mart.

Yeah you should definitely try organic strait up pure coconut oil, and you can just try to leave it in for a few minutes before you shower, and it still makes your hair shiny :), oh yeah and if you have a hard time getting the grease out then use dawn dish soap as shampoo :)
