Personally I wear makeup to look neat and professional. Looks messy when you have your hair and makeup not done so yeah. Makeup can be seen as a symbol of superficiality but there's really nothing wrong with a bit of makeup...

Some people judge others because of how they present themselves. Its not all about makeup its about character. Personally some people judged me because I'm dark skin and I wear eyeliner. "Your dark , so why are you wearing BLACK eyeliner?" lol I would say something smart back but its a little of everything tbh...

To be honest, I've stared at girls with heaps of makeup on but ITS NOT BECAUSE IM JUDGING, I'm actually just looking at their make up and liking it!
But then again I've had girls look at me with the dirtiest looks.
But I couldn't care anymore! It's my face and I like the way I do my make up :D

I used to be the person who was like "meh I don't wear makeup." But never because I thought it was stupid or for insecure people-- that never even crossed my mind. I was just too lazy. But I go into make up during the end of my junior year and I loved it. (Although I usually just wear colorful liner n stuff) I never really recall anyone judging me for it, my best friend said she wasn't used to seeing it on me but quickly adapted to it, and accepted me for my newfound love. I get more compliments for it, but sometimes I would be asked "who are you trying to impress?" And my response would be simple
Nobody, I wear makeup because it's like another form of art to me and just another way of showing expression. Just like the clothes you wear and the music you like, I wear makeup because my love for art and expression. And if you don't like it then fine, it's my face so I could careless about your preferences! -end rant

I've been judged for wearing makeup. especially when I first started but instead of letting a few negative comments impact me I kept being me and doing what I love. I found Beautylish and I'm not going to let the haters stop me from doing what I love. I don't wear makeup to cover up. I wear it to bring out my best features and because I enjoy it
