Sooooo some months ago I learned of people actually using Monistat on their scalp for hair growth and to treat dandruff. So I decided to use it and it does work well for dandruff. Would you give it a try or nah?

I wouldn't just because 1) I don't have dandruff 2) it's not going to do anything for hair growth. so it would have no purpose for me lol.

I can see how it would treat dandruff that is a result of fungal issues, but for dandruff caused by other issues (dryness, product buildup, irritation, allergies, etc.) it wouldn't do anything. I'm not sure if it should be used in such close proximity to the face/eyes, so personally I wouldn't use it or recommend it.
The only topical product that actually does anything for growth is Rogain. The maximum rate of growth is determined by genetics. However, nutrition and condition play a large role. Make sure you are eating a balanced, healthy diet, and talk to your doctor if you suspect you are deficient in any vitamins. DO NOT take any supplements (biotin in particular) without speaking to your doctor; taking excess vitamins can result in serious side effects.
Avoid breakage by avoiding tight styles, don't brush while your hair is wet, and use heat sparingly. Use conditioning treatments once in a while, and get regular trims to get rid of split ends before they travel up the hair shaft.
