What kind of dresses for homecoming.

Hi so my first homecoming dance is coming up next month but I don't know what kind of dresses people wear. like do people wear big long gowns, or bodycon dresses, or short skater dresses, I have no idea how fancy the occasion is.

It depends on the school and whatever people wanna wear really. at my school, all the girls wear bodycon dresses and that's what I typically see girls from other schools wear, too 😊

Prom is when people wear long dresses, homecoming is for shorter dresses :)

Homecoming is a little more casual, prom is way more dressy. At my school at least, people are pretty toned down for homecoming, like just 'night out' dresses, but everyone goes all out for prom :)

And I'm wearing a bodycon dress this year that I actually got for $5 on clearance at Charlotte Russe haha ;) just do you and find something you like girl, don't stress about it :) 👌

Most homecomings have body con or short knee length. My old HS saved long for.prom!

Wow times have changed. When I was in high school homecoming was a formal dance. We wore cocktail dresses, some girls wore sheath style prom dresses. Boys wore suits or at least shirt and tie with slacks.

The only differences between homecoming and prom were A) all classes were invited to homecoming, while prom was only juniors and then only seniors, and B) prom was catered and served a multi course meal, while homecoming just had finger foods on a buffet.

If someone had worn a bodycon dress, they wouldn't have been allowed in... I feel super old right now!
