This is my method when shopping...mortgage paid...check. Ultilities paid...check. Fridge/pantry stocked...check. Retirement/savings fund paid...check. Kids have their needs fulfilled...check. Shop till I drop!!

Mine's something like Shelley's but a little more like "what do I NEED to pay and what can I worry about next week?" We are living off DH's unemployment so there is almost never extra money. I went a little cray with the tax money, it was like a feast after a famine!
