I have done an ombré on myself in the past. What I did was looked up on some DIY ombré videos and followed the steps. My hair came out great! As long as you're careful, you should be fine xx

I have ombré hair and I use the L'oreal stuff and I love just doing it at home
It's really easy to do I think
Before I did it the first time I watched a couple YouTube videos on how to do it at home with the L'oreal kit and that really helped
It's super easy and it's way less expensive than going to a salon

Since you want to go lighter...I would just add some highlights.. You can either do a heavy one that will almost look like its an all over color or regular high light or a very simple nightlight with a few strands colored
