Hey guys! Lately my acne was is worst than ever! On my cheek I have a huge red/purple cyst and just breakouts everywhere!! I have already made a derm appointment but that's not till mid June. Do you guys have any product recommendations to help with my acne in the mean time? Thanks in advance. :/

Trust me, I know how to handle acne. Mine had always been out of control... The pic I've added is my face without makeup right now. As you can see my acne is not super bad right now but still isn't great. I use sulfur soap which you can buy on amazon. Within four days of using the product my acne began to disappear and not pop up. It really is a great product. You just also need a good moisturizer because it can really dry your skin out. Hope that helps!

I used Proactive! All my breakouts are gone & they havent come back! It also left my skin feeling soft, hydrated & smooth :)

Jacqlyn, I forgot to mention, salicylic acid doesn't work well with my skin. Makes me break out.😔

The black soap is very gentle and I put the benzoyl peroxide on the pimples and it helps them go away

I wouldn't reccommend spending crazy money on a routine until you see the derm. They might give you a routine plus you'd have to buy the medication.

Hi! In the past couple of months I actually had the EXACT same issue. I had EXTREMELY bad cystic acne all covering my whole face, especially my chin. I've always had bad acne, but this was accutane worthy. I tried every thing I could think of and spent tons of money. It actually just kept getting worse. I finally booked a derm appointment. He wanted to prescribe accutane but my mom wouldn't let him. I'm not on a regime of sulfur soap, cerave moisturizer, and tazorac
.1%. It has helped, but the MAJOR player has been going every week and getting Isolaz laser treatment. Within 2 treatments my acne reduced significantly. Tomorrow I'm getting my 5th treatment, and almost all my acne is gone. Now I'm totally not endorsing it or anything because it obviously doesn't work for everyone but when you see your derm I would ask about the regimen I'm on. The tazorac makes my skin dewy and smooth and makes those cystic pimples come to the surface instead of sitting there. I used to have pimples last for 2 months! What I'm saying is that with how bad your acne is, you will NOT clear it on your own. Cystic acne is deep and takes stronger methods then OTC products can provide. Right now until you see your derm the best you can do is keep it under control. The sulfur soap definitely helps. I recommend Joeseph's (spelling?) soap, you can buy it online. It is drying, so use a moisturizer and spot treatment. Going to the derm is your best option, so just wait it out. I will also post a picture of my face what it looked like when I started and what it looks like now (only 5 weeks apart). Look into the isolaz/tazorac because it has changed my life. I really hope you get your acne taken care of. I know personally how upsetting and painful it can be. Good luck and hope this helped!

Thanks everyone! Madi, you skin looks great!! I've been prescribed tazorac before and it dried me out like crazy and I really broke out! Hopefully the derm can help me out. My skin is so bad right now. :(

Thanks! Ah I'm sorry it didn't work :( the first couple of weeks I was so flakey and broke out worse. I definitely think it was the laser that helped and the tazorac was just an added help. I probably would still be bad if I just used the tazorac. I also forgot to say I'm on an antibiotic too! Anyways, I really hope your acne clears soon :)
