I use higher 70 if I'm going to be out all day or at the beach or something no higher than 50 daily , after 50 you only get about 2% more protection but a lot more chemicals are used spf 30 is fine for daily use.and it's a shot glass size for your whole body

What brand has the best oil free sun protection?
May 16, 2014
Shelley W.
@Rabiya...Peter Thomas Roth, Colorescience, Mario Badsecu, Renee Rouleau, SkinCeutricals are brands I personally use for my face and all have oil-free formulas for oily/combo skin. I rotate depending on my activity for the day but for body I go for Hawaiian Tropics and Neutrogena.

There is such thing as too much if you are sensitive to SPF but if not then you can apply whatever amount you feel is necessary to keep your skin from burning - SPF 30 is usually my minimum for my face and then for the body I can get away with SPF 15 (that is the minimum to ensure you protect yourself from the UV rays) so as long as it's at least 15 you should be ok - but it's important to reapply your SPF every hour that you are out in direct sunlight or exposed to water.
