Well, no. Not necessarily. A primer is a primer and a bb cream is a bb cream. However, bb creams do have some benefits for your skin so you don't have really HAVE to wear a primer under it and can use foundation over it; it will not prolong the wear of your makeup, though.

Ithink soo because bb cream is a primer corrector aswell not just a tinted moisturizer.

I use a cc cream and then top it off with a foundation stick. I tried it with my bb cream and I didn't get such a great finish.

Color correcting cream Dana. Basically it corrects uneven skintone. But only mimimal uneven complexion issues.
