Eat food with biotin like blueberrys or take the biotin pill (I know you said no pills) but it works. also don't brush your hair out after a shower. get regular cuts and do not wash your hair everyday.

You can only speed hair growth up by like 1/4 inch per month which is hardly noticeable

You can't speed up hair growth, the rate your hair grows is down to genetics. But you can keep it healthy by cutting off split ends and using conditioners and hair masks.

Mane and Tail worked really well for me. From the reviews I've read, the people who had bad results were the ones that didn't use a good conditioner. It worked well for me! As long as you continue to condition after, you should be fine with that.
I got mine at Walmart, and I've also seen it at Target.
