I want to start spending more time outside since it is starting to get sunnier, so I obviously want to start working on a tan as well. I need an inexpensive tanning product that will help me get tan while being outside. I don't really want a self tanner but I am open to any tips/suggestions.

There are tanning lotions at Walmart, target, stores like that. Some contain no SPF and others have little. Banana boat is a good brand. They can be oily but they contain some SPF and smell good. I use a tanning lotion from a tanning place. You can go to your local tanning place but DISCLAIMER: the lotions at tanning places can be pricey and have no spf's. So just to give you a few choices.

You can pretty much buy them at CVS or Walgreens or something similar. I'm afraid I don't have much experience with which ones are better, but I advise you to make sure the one you get has some SPF. It's not going to prevent you from tanning, and you'll obviously still get some sun damage but this will at least protect your skin a little bit (:

Instead of fake tanning, try a tan accelerator, such as Elemis Tan Accelerator. It brings the natural melanin in your skin to the surface and makes you tan easiet.

Make sure which ever product you get has a little bit of SPF so you won't burn
