What is the ingredient list of your spot treatment? All spot treatments usually contain some acne meds like Benzoyl peroxide or Salicylic acid in a slightly higher concentration than the regular acne treatments, and so its absolutely normal for them to tingle a little, but if it feels like burning, your skin could be reacting to it. Have you been using any other acne medication along with the spot treatment? Did you start using any new product lately?

Maybe the scrub has sone ingredients that interfered with the Benzoyl peroxide, this happened to me about a year ago, I used to use a retinol containing sunscreen lotion daily and then I bought a night cream that had glycolic acid after using the sunscreen for 3 weeks. The moment I put the night cream on, after removing the sunscreen, my skin began to itch and burn like crazy! I washed and applied lotsa aloe gel. It gave me a face burn.

Make sure you put aloe gel on the itching areas and some ice pack to relieve redness. And also, do not exfoliate for atleast a week, until your skim recovers.

I would also discontinue using the spot treatment, especially for the next few days. I suggest you use 15 % tea tree oil for a spot treatment after letting your skin recover for 3 or 4 days.

Grapefruit can be fairly acidic (not sure how concentrated that particular product is), plus a physical exfoliant makes for some delicate skin, because the protective lipid layer of the skin is stripped away. Adding the salicylic acid treatment on top probably caused a slight chemical burn. Use a gentle moisturizer (aloe is nice) and avoid the spot treatment and the scrub for a few days. Wash with a gentle cleanser in the meantime.
