I need a facewash or cleanser that I can use daily that can help clear my skin, remove makeup, and improve my skins texture.Any suggestions on products that can do any or all of these things would be greatly appreciated.

use cetaphil. it's a really basic simple and clean cleanser that doesn't irritate skin. I have really sensitive skin and acne but it's gentle and works well for removing make up and clearing up my skin

Burts bees acne facewash is the only thing that works for me. Its cheapest at Walmart & target.

I would say use cetaphil too! I used to break out tons and I would try every acne wash and it just would make things worst. Try it. It's very basic and plain and if you use it in the morning and night you can cleanse your face without drying or irritating it and if you do that regularly you will have less break outs.

Another vote for Cetaphil here. It's so gentle but really does a good job of removing makeup (if you don't wear a lot, and it doesn't work great for removing waterproof makeup, just keep that in mind). It's also a drugstore product, so you won't break the bank on it. If you want something specifically for treating acne, and are willing to pay a bit more, I recommend Murad Clarifying Cleanser. It has salicylic acid in it and it actually continues to release it after you rinse. I had good skin before I started using it, but it looks even better now. I actually use both of these in my skin care routine, because I'm pretty compulsive about getting rid of all traces of makeup and having clear and well-behaved skin. As far as improving your skin's texture, I'd suggest investing in some type of brush. Even if you just get a small hand brush, it'll make a world of difference. Best of luck!

I suffer from acne as well and I use the Mario Badescu facial cleanser. If you go to their website, you can have a decent sized sample sent to you. My face has never looked better and people always ask what I use.

Clean and clear has a makeup removing face wash, it's in a purple pump bottle. It's a one step wash, so you don't have to use makeup remover before or wash your face after you use it. It's really great and helped my breakouts :)

Thanks ladies! I think I may try cetaphil first since its for sensitive skin! But I'm up for anything new, my st.Ives apricot scrub is getting old:(

Apricot scrub is bad news! The shell pieces used for exfoliating have really sharp and rough edges, and cause tears in your skin. I'm glad you're switching it up!

I use Acne Free. It's kind of a dupe of proactive, but my skins complexion is great, it's smooth, it's all one tone. I love this 3 step product. I had a really bad blemish on my chin one day and used the spot cleanser, the next day it was nearly
Gone. The best part is that you can buy it from the drugstore.

I love Boscia purifying gel cleanser! It's gentle, non comedogenic, pH balanced, organic and soap free. It's full if amino acids and antioxidants like green tea. I get that squeaky clean feeling without the dryness! And it's only $26 :)

Oh and I'm a firm believer in using a cleanser to CLEANSE not treat. Treat after you cleanse. Over treating can aggravate your skin!

I would suggest something with salicylic but make sure to only use it every other day as it can dry out your skin and cause an overproduction of oil. I really liked the acne cleanser by Mario badescu and also the one by Philosophy. The philosophy one has a nice clean slight citric smell too. :)

You should use something gentle in acne prone skin so I agree with the others about cetaphil or I can also recommend Simple. L'Occitane has a really nice oil control range that is very gentle. It's the red rice range.

For just removing makeup, Aveeno has a great mild makeup removing cleanser.

Personally I have used cetaphil and didn't really like it because it didn't make any sort of bubbles when rubbed together and I've found that, like shampoo, face washes work better when they can lather. I've tried a sufficient amount of different washes and philosophy's purity has worked the best for me. Plus it's only $20 and I've had it for 8 months and I use it twice a day every day

neutrogena acne wash:) has salicylic acid in too, which used it most acne treatments along side benzoyl peroxide, I used to use panoxyl wash 10 but can't find it anywhere!!

I just apply olive oil onto my eyes and rub it in gently to get rid of eye makeup and if my brows are filled in and then I use the AcneFree 3 step system. That system has definitely cleared my skin a ton and has faded a lot of scarring I had. I've never found any cleanser that will also completely get rid of my makeup without irritating my eyes.
