Hey beautiful people, hope you're having a lovely day :)
I have two questions for you (didn't want to clog the forum with two seperate threads, sorry mods).
First.
I have broken capillaries on the sides of my face. They aren't really bad but there are a lot of them. Maybe I just didn't notice before but I think they're fairly recent. Does anyone know if there is a way of getting rid of them and what causes them? My actual skin is fairly clear but between being pale, the capillaries, my veins (my skin is very translucent) and my freckles my skin doesn't look amazing without foundation :(
Second.
This is not much to do with skincare but how do you guys deal with stress?

They have a laser procedure for them. I have a few around my nose that I'd love to have remedied. It is quick and noninvasive. I hope to have it done next year.

As for stress, I walk..a lot. Walking my dog clears my mind. I also do yoga and sometimes cook to relax me.

Do you have Rosacea? Broken Capillaries tend to become more visible as skin becomes thinner which may be another factor.
Being gentle with your face is what helps. Do not do any steaming to your face as that may make it worse or cause them.

Maybe wash your face or at least put cool not cold water on it might help I've never had this so I'm not really sure and just try to pinpoint what's making you stressed and try to relax and forget it and listen to music or take a rest or read and then after youre calmer solve the problem :) I hope you get better

No I don't Kitty thank god, maybe my skin is just extremely thin and sensitive. I'm wondering if it was the face masks I did a week or two ago, it burned a little :/
Thanks girls, I would go for walks but I have Peripheral Neuropathy and I'm pretty housebound.. I'll try music and I might get back into meditating. Thank you Renay, I hope so too, and that you can as well :)

I'm going to try gradual tan this summer on my body and face so hopefully that will cover it but it would nice to know the reason its happening

These Madyln, you have these small veins everywhere under the skin but when you damage them they turn into the picture showed.

I can't help you much with 1, but in terms of dealing with stress, I would say to find an escape. Exercise, art, some hobby or sport, or just having a pamper night with a bubble bath, face mask, your favourite movie/TV show, and a sweet treat. It's good to just take a day or night off from 'real life' to recuperate - that way you're ready to face with whatever has been stressing you out! Other than that, just talking or writing about it helps a lot. You usually end up realizing there's not all that much to worry about.

Thanks Lizzy :) unfortunately my worry is that my legs are permanently damaged so woo hoo, I suppose its a good thing my aim is to be a psychologist and not a rugby player haha.

Caitriona I am so glad you asked this question! I have been too embarrassed to ask and have really bad broken capillaries around my nose!

Aw Traci, you should never be embarrassed to ask on here, the girls are really non-judgemental and supportive :)
If you're trying to cover them a green or peach corrector really helps :)
I hope someone can explain why its happening though
