So my hair is a deep red right now and it's been awhile since I dyed it but it's not really fading into anything but darker into brown like my regular color but I heard it's supposed to turn orange and that's why red hair is a pain? Really now I just have some brown spots here and there.

It could be the fact that the dye is staying in your hair for longer, or that is basically just "likes" your hair haha! I don't really know how to explain it.

I do take good care of it (besides the love of using heat) but I just heard a lot of rumors about it and people warning me not to dye it because of that happening but it's just darkening slowly. It's been like 5 weeks now

My hair is red now and has been for over a year. I had bleached mine from black to blonde to go red and the parts that were blonde do fade to a coppery orange color, but the parts where my natural brown hair is underneath, stay red.

When I had bright red hair I'd bleached it beforehand and had used vegan dye, it faded to a pale peach kind of orange if that's what you're talking about. :)

Well when you dye your hair you have to really take care of it or it will fade away and look really bad but I don't suggest dying your hair because my friend did and it got on her neck and made the back of her neck that color and her hands because she kept touchin her hair

I had my brown hair dyed an auburn colour (in January) and I haven't dyed it since, in the sun light my hair has a golden/orange colour to it.
