I used to feel confident, but for a few years since I developed hormonal Melasma my face looks like a checker board. It makes me cry.

Honestly, I'd probably never wear makeup if my skin wasn't so translucent, which is why I've started fake tanning- so I can stop wearing it all together. I do feel like I need foundation or concealer to be comfortable leaving the house because I really hate the bags under my eyes, other than that though makeup is just a hobby. I like applying it, I trying out different things with it, I like the way it looks. When I was 14-17 and even 18 if I'm being honest, I thought I needed it. I thought I wasn't beautiful and no guy would ever want to be with me without it (which makes me cringe now) and then I decided that if someone was that shallow that they couldn't care for me without it, they were someone I wouldn't want around anyway. Having said that though I wouldn't go on a night out with no makeup on.

1. no, never as a mask. my face is a part of me, I don't need mask :)
2. yes, completely confident. :)
3. why? I don't really care what other ppl think! if I want I will wear Ruby woo to grocery store or a just lip balm to a party! I just make sure not to go overboard whenever I am wearing makeup!
Additional observation: I never wore full face makeup till few months back! but now that I have finally learned basic makeup techniques and wear full face more than before, I have noticed that I have become more concerned about every tiny little problem/scar/pigmentation on my face! I am not liking the way I feel, so I make sure to go out completely bare faced from time to time...
but I love learning, experimenting with makeup. also bcz I have an unconventional job and minimal social life, I wear makeup (even of not full face) whenever I can. I need to use and finish my enormous stash :) he he!

Yes I am. I think that someone should wear make-up when they can also wear no make-up. Does that make sense? But I do not thin it is confidence, it is (in my case) probably laziness haha! I have to decide: wear make-up but start my day 10 minutes earlier or lay in bed? Well, that is an easy choice haha! I do think that it takes confidence to wear a bold lip or some black smokey eyes. That takes confidence, because people can (and might) judge you for that. You can't be judged because you don't wear make-up. That is just not how it works haha! I think this comment is kinda boring to read...
Long story short: I am confident without make-up on.

I don't feel confident either way, but with makeup on I feel slightly better about myself. I have pretty much no self esteem, it's something I am trying to work on.

I feel slightly confident without makeup. I'm scared people stare at my acne spots/scars and think I look like a crack head but then I think that why should I care if they don't even know me.. I guess some days I am and some days I'm not and there's nothing wrong with that.
