So I heard from a stylist that shine spray works better then heat sprays.. What's everyone's opinion on this?

Ahhh I have never heard that my dear, unless it's a shine/heat protectant in one! But I have worked with a lot of lines and have never seen one.

I use both. Chi Total Protect on wet hair before I dry it and Rusk shine before styling.

This may well is going to sound awful to some people but I've never used a heat protectant on my hair! I just make sure once a week I do a deep condition on my hair and all is fine 😊 I've never heard of this though I must say! I've been using a shine spray which I put in before and after using heat on my hair but don't think it protects it.

Whoa!! A stylist saying that a heat spray is no good?! A heat spray protects the hair and is a must. The shine spray has no protection and merely adds silicones and alcohol to the hair giving it that shine...great to use after heat stying. Don't let that stylist apply any heat to your hair without applying a heat protectant.

I use Rusk Thermal Shine. It is a combination thermal protection and shine product.

Even so, I still use Chi Total Protect prior to applying heat or blow drying.
